.... and what is an Artificer?
The word artificer is perhaps a little awkward but an artificer is the traditional word for a backroom craftsman. The person who actually makes the art. An artificer is not necessarily the artist but the man (in this case) who, with simple hand tools, applies experience, skill and judgement to translate a design into a 3-D sculptural form.

* 13th September 2021 installed 'A Wave To Our Past' a public art sculpture in Gourdon, Aberdeenshire.
* Following a worldwide open call, Robert's work has been accepted by the 'The Climate Action and Visual Culture Team' at Huddersfield University, to take part in research and an online event this summer. Live online event 28th July 2021 and online Art exhibition now available.

A little about Robert.
When you contact us, either myself or my wife, the lovely Charlotte, will reply.
I Robert Lawrence, will personally make your order by hand and with every care and attention I can. Please look at all this website for a full idea of what I do and the high ecological values and policies I aspire to uphold.
As for background, I have spent over 30 years, in Property, culminating in the design and build of a new Eco house.
I come from a long line of Lawrences involved with wooden restoration, building and cabinet making. However, I have not had formal training, but I do have an inherent ability with wood and a natural eye for sculptural form.
Our grandson Finley begins his training. He takes health and safety seriously!
